Will Chalker -- born in 1980 in East Sussex, England – is one of just a few male models who has decidedly earned the right to be called a supermodel in the international fashion industry. Not just a pretty face, Will is also an amateur boxer.
His career as a model got off to a running start when—at the age of 20, while a labourer at a construction site—one of his mates took a test photo of him. Since that day, he has been used in major fashion campaigns for names such as: YSL, Valentino, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, GAP. Ermenegildo Zegna and Paul Smith. He has opened and closed runway shows for Gucci, John Galliano, Sonia Rykiel, Versace, and he has even carried a baby tiger in his arms on the catwalk of a Dolce & Gabbana show.
Will has appeared in GQ, Uomo Vogue, I-D, the Japanese edition of Wallpaper, Spanish Esquire and Upstreet. He has also been the lead model in ad campaigns for Levi’s and Paco Rabanne Black XS.
"Will is the perfect model for Cottonfield. He is down to earth, witty, incredibly talented and not afraid to show that he is a real man. We have used him for five seasons. We and our customers believe he is the right one to highlight Cottonfield’s natural, laid-back design profile," says Cottonfield managing director Sune Bjerregaard.
As it has been in the three previous campaigns, the photos will be shot by Danish photographer Morten Bjarnhoff. The location, this time on an ideal autumn day in a birch forest outside Copenhagen, provides the perfect backdrop for the collection.
